Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I would like to announce a purchase I made.
I went to the thrift store and bought a fairly nice pair of Levis jeans and a Liz Claiborne blouse. The jeans are size 6!!!! I haven't fit in a size 6 jeans since I was expecting Joshua! The shirt is a medium.
The 2nd best part is...the whole outfit cost me $3.27. I did have to remove the velcro stuff from the sleeves where the shoulder pads go...revolting stuff, those shoulder pads.
I'm ironing them up now...I'll take a picture later.
I'm thrilled.

I wish it were Friday.
THEN I could go and torment some souls.
*blink blink*
But.. umm, I'm not really some soul stealing arch-vile from the 9th plane, honest.
/ joke.
Afternoon, trying to lighten up threads somewhat.

Well, I'm "low-carbin' it" as you know. And yes, I've been walking hard and even jogging a bit, even though my mom says all my female parts might fall out.
Ha ha ha!!

Thanks Ruthy...I'm pretty proud. You know, a lot of people might think being 128-130 lbs isn't that bad, but it was NEVER me...you know? I told Steve that when I can fit into these size six jeans easily (they are a bit tight right now), that is where I want to stay. I don't want to go back to being rail thin like I was in my ute. I understand that I'm a 41 year old woman...but I was just never comfortable being the weight I was...

No, but they had a pretty neat pair of white cowboy boots I almost bought...looked like the kind women wear in weddings, you know? With their wedding dresses...

Women down South, maybe.... goggling at the imagery... I've never seen a bride in boots up here. Might be kind of cool.

For a second I was afraid I'd outed myself as some evil alternate dimensional soul reaper.
Thankfully, I don't breathe lightning.

Not really, she's more of an ambush predator, she waits for my ankles to get close enough to bite.
She doesn't chase anything longer than she has to.
