New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I'm jet lagging.
Drat. It probably wouldn't have worked anyway.
I'm willing to believe there are nice rottweilers out there. I've just never met any.
We will have to all band together in some sort of fellowship to overcome that.
ruh roh...hall monitor's here...;-)
I've met one- a big'ol cuddle-bunny named Helga. She's a first class lap dog and belongs to an ol' Army buddy of Big'ol's.
He learned fast. And he liked 'em. :-)
Had to... or he mighta not been eatin' some days.
Yeah, like I said we were making progress. Jr. and I were planning to go to the shooting range with brother-in-law.
Hasn't come up since "the event."
If you go to countries that speak Spanish they are pronounced correctly. As is that city in the panhandle of Texas.
Good! That's at least one redeeming quality. :)
I'm waiting for my aforementioned coworker to WAKE UP and get ready already- we've got to get down to the range. Grrr. Civilians. (can I say that if I am one???)
Breaking on Fox News.
It's odd what words we choose to pronounce "right" and which we just say any bloody way we want.
Then again, two l's saying "y" is stupid anyway.
That's an important thing. Myranda had her close friends there too. Thankfully.
After all of her school years and me just wanting her to *pass* all her classes... she shows me her report card from her first semester in college and she's got a 4.0 GPA. She has *never* in her life had all A's before... now, she could debate gun control, abortion, all manner of individual freedoms with any person of any age, but she didn't ever apply any of her smarts to school werk. Somehow, now, she's decided her grades might be important to her future. Go figure.
yes... but only if'n you use the word "slimey", or bloodsucking", or an explicative in conjunction...
(but then having a waitress who doesn't speak English is stoopid, too.)
you say that like itsuh bad thing...
She is fluffing her hair as we speak. (I'm a wash-n-go kinda, gal. "Blow-drying" involves rolling down the jeep windows.) And why the heck you need to have fluffy hair on the range when you're going to wear a hat and have sand blown into your face in 20-30 mph winds is beyond me!
I also had a neighbor dog - a beagle - that I lived next door too for three years, barked at me ~every~ time. I tried to introduce myself to the dog, but the dog was an idiot. ;~D
a bullet-riddled corpse layin' in the street is a wonderful teachin' aid... IMHO... even better when more of his insides are outside than inside...
Have you been following the bru-haha with MD's govorner? Apparantly some big-wig dem had an encounter with a fast food employee who didn't speak English and made a public comment about it. People interfacing with the public in this country should speak English! The gov stood by him and declared "multi-culturalism" to be "crap" and "bunk". He's right of course, and the ensuing howls from the left have been fine entertainment.
I am sure my attitude towards guns has had a lot to do with being raised in a hunting family. And a family where safety was enforced at an early age. I know what guns do. And I know you gotta beat kids sometimes to teach 'em how to respect 'em. Somehow, I think folks that aren't raised where guns are part of the normal everyday existance are at a disadvantage in a lot of things.
You know the whole mama instinct of protecting the kids? I just don't think I could adequately feel I had my kids in my protection if I hadn't had firearms in the house "just in case." And I taught the girls to use 'em... "just in case." It made me feel more secure... not any danger for 'em. But, if you aren't raised that way, and you haven't had violence in your life where you *wished* you had that gun to protect... I don't know how else you get to that point.
