Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

They were picked up by the most unlikeliest of creatures... gruesome, ain't he... but ... a marked improvement over the Dark Lord of the Shoes...

Heh...I'm betting they'll be shocked. We had to take those when I was in grade school...we usually scored "post high-school", and thegirl is EXCEPTIONALLY bright. She'll blow 'em away!

Just don't let her head get too swelled when you get the results. Is the Iowa test a one-day event? I'm thinking the Iowa test is what we always took. They always had one question that was way too hard for the test, I guess just so there wouldn't be many perfect scores.

Mornin', Glory. ;-) Mornin' darlin'! :-)
I am enjoyin' my self-imposed mini-vacation! Spent 2 days with the young un, had dinner with Bear and Rose, got a roastin' sunburn. Now, I'm sneak freepin' whilst she's still sleepin'.
Bear and Rose got to listen to all us parent's nightmares, the stories of her gettin' drunk 2 times in Germany. One of them needs to tell it. The mom just wants to bury her head in the sand!

Good morning! Greetings from the beautiful Tularosa Basin in NM. It promises to be sunny and wonderful, the white sands might blow around a bit. We're gonna run some tests today and see just how bad it sucks to be America's foe. Hugs to all!

the ITBS is a two-day schedule... it's considered the best in the nation I believe, as Iowa publik skools are rated #1... that's what I took growin' up... hated it...
don't worry... I'll keep her humble...

We're gonna run some tests today and see just how bad it sucks to be America's foe. Oh!!! I love this!!! You have an awesome job!!! :-)
Glad to hear you're in God's country today. I could be slightly envious if I wasn't back in home territory myself this week. Hope you get filled up on lots of good food again! :-)

Looks like Myranda had the right days off... we had lovely sunny warm days. Today, it looks like rain. But, she goes back to work today so we're through being gad-abouts.

Just tell her when she makes 99th percentile that she should have been 100 (those percentiles always confused me. It always seemed 100 should have been the highest. Is there a 0th percentile?)
