Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A sudden tree or standing stone
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Why yes, then of course it is low-carb. Low... compared to something, I'm sure.

You're probably right. But I could also see how it would be hard for her to do that.

Cool. Being less than an hour from Boulder is almost as cool as being less than an hour from... from... hmmm... OK... I'm not the one to ask.
Boulder is almost as lefty as the Evergreen State College, and the only reason for the "almost" is that Boulder has yet to send somebody like Rachel Corrie to the middle east.
But they're trying... give them time. They'll come up with somebody...

Well, it is fundamentally unfair to kill one dog simply because the other one is dying, which is why dad wouldn't let her think of it (till he hurt his back)... but I had the same situation when Logan's back went out and he had to go. Zulu was really worse off than Logan up till that moment. She should have gone first. And I thought of going home to get her. Even in hindsight I think I should have.

My mamma would rise from the grave and beat the crap out of me if I ever wore shorts to a wedding!
To: Corin Stormhands
But perhaps they were meant to be found--just as you were meant to wear them--and that is a comforting thought.

No she won't! You can wear anything you like as long as you don't wear any hose.... or pumps. Can't walk in sand in heels.

I don't wear heels in any case...but I'd get haunted real good if I wore Reeboks to a wedding.
