Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A sudden tree or standing stone

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Yup, me too! Sean Astin deserved to WIN Best Supporting Actor and he didn't even get nominated. Sheesh!

No need to go meek on me now, Darks!

Just promise me you'll let me borrow the thing for a great practical joke or three!

This is gonna play hell with my antigravity experiments. Dang it.

Doh! BTW, here's something else I've been working on that you can use for your Balrog problem.

Not necessarily.
If the air can be bent almost seemlessly around the craft, the disturbance would be small enough to not be detectable.

It's still in it's infancy and is still unpredictable.
Last one to test it got all megalomaniacal and rantish about gophers spying on them or some such.
It needs further R&D before perfecting.
Let's push it out onto the market now and release SP 1 two weeks later.

I'm pretty sure my Mustang does this, but I suspect it only works at ground velocities in excess of 130kts. I will continue to test and forward the results. :-)

I figured you were gonna say that, so I've already released both SP 1 and the virus that will create the demand for SP 1.1. I've also purchased air time to run the SP 1 commercial at least twice during each commercial break on all major networks, in between McDonald's commercials. BTW did you complete the AOL merger?

This was my reaction when he didn't get nominated.
