Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads…. And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
A few of us thought it would be interesting and informative to have a chat thread where we can share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. We may not ~always~ have a lot of activity, but when we do, it will be fun. I will put a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I will also develop a ping list for horse threads that are of interest. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
I am hoping this thread will be a fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.
The house rules are that we will never tire of seeing your animals, of you never tire of seeing ours!
He seriousely will give you a hug too. He jumps up and wraps his front legs around your waist and won't let go until you walk off.:)

Our company didn't leave last nite till 11:30. So I was running late this morning too.

Your cat looks like she can hold her own:') Your dogs are cute too. I like the way the black and white one posing. I thought a few minutes about buying Cindydawg a companion last night. It was a miniture horse. Fully grown but smaller than her. I just didn't know if I could convience the city that it really wasn't a "horse" horse in my back yard:')

It was nice to get away:') I only saw one trailer but it was kind of like mine, just bigger. My BIL going to keep looking now that he knows what I want. I'm going to go ahead and start working with mine on the weekends though.
I worked on my garden all weekend. It's looking real good. I got some of those solared poweded accent lights for the patio garden, I think I will get some more next week. They're really cool.

I bet that looks nice. I've been looking at some plants and trees but I haven't found anything that's "me" yet:')
We did buy a 250 gallon propane tank though. It's no fun arriving at the lake in 20-30 degree weather with no heat and everything closed up.
No that wouldn't be fun....bbrrrrrrrr. I hate the cold.

Hey, mom. You there? Just got home and cooking dinner. Had a long day, another color came in an hour before closing and it was a double process, so we didn't get out until six thirty.:( Oh well, at least my color % is coming up.:)

Not much. I started the sprinkeler to water the garden.
Can't seem to find a good time to do that. I like sitting out there in the evenings, and the mornings, but those are the best times to water. So here I am.
