Thread III: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1311311/posts |

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
A few of us thought it would be interesting and informative to have a chat thread where we can share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. We may not ~always~ have a lot of activity, but when we do, it will be fun. I will put a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I will also develop a ping list for horse threads that are of interest. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
I am hoping this thread will be a fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.
That was suppose to be goodness. Mt bad.:)
Rusty doesn't have a mark on him. He's been around Rocky before, he knew to keep his distance.
I just got back from my ERRANDS:), ate lunch, and getting ready to feed JP. Then bookwork.

You big dummy, don't you know there is a spell checker on this thing?
BigMack
Yeah, I know there is a spell check, I just forget to use it. Got to go get lunch, be back in a bit.:) I'm not a big dummy.
Just got back from town, eating lunch. We've been spring cleaning all day. We got the back bedroom cleaned out, we managed to get all the christmas stuff in the closet. Also got Blakes closet cleaned out. Lokks a lot better around here.:)
Where's there?
BigMack
There is here. What are you doing old man??:)
There is here can't be there if you're asking "are you there" how can one be "here" if she is "there"?
LOL. I'm not even going to comment on that one. That sounds like one of those things that would just go on and on. I was just wondering if anyone was lurking.
How do I send my pictures to the place that will host them for me?? I'm trying to figure out how to post pictures.
I was :') Just goofing while waiting for my husband to get home.
LOL...just clicked on to this....uhhh, brain teaser. Been busy with JP.

My mom's high school graduating class (North Avenue Presbyterian Girls' School Class of '44) had a 60th Anniversary Tea at my house. I was the chef and musician - my dad was the butler and wine steward. Chardonnay (and iced tea for those ladies who don't care for wine.) White meat chicken salad with tarragon and green grapes, assorted vegetables with dip, fresh-baked croissants, and an authentic Scots Trifle (sherry, angel food cake, raspberry jam, sherry, home made egg custard, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and whipped cream) for dessert. Three of the ladies are members of the Baroque Music Society, so I entertained on the harpsichord with selections from Scarlatti and Purcell.
Mom and I just finished doing the dishes and she took the tablecloths home to be washed. I am EXHAUSTED. I also didn't sleep well last night worrying about whether I did the marinade for the chicken breasts right . . . and all the other stuff.
Anyhow, back to horses. My son rode a makeup lesson at 5 o'clock, so I took some pix of my son going through the jumping grid at our Wednesday riding lesson -- unfortunately nobody else there could figure out how to work my husband's digital camera so didn't get any pix of any of us in the 6;00 lesson - too bad because Gracie was on fire! She jumped everything in sight - our trainer kept putting the fences up and we kept clearing them. It was fun. My husband's going to have to come and work his OWN camera.
He does stand up in his stirrups too high, but he's a good little rider and that App is nuts.
Yeah, I got signed in and I'm down loading pictures to that site so I can post them. It may take awhile though, and my computer slowed way down, so bare with me.:)
What a party. Sounds like you put a lot of work into it.
How old is your son? I love to watch horses. I posted earlier that I just sat and watched my romp for awhile. I was really glad that I decided to pasture him. It must have been really boring being in the stall for so long. It made me feel ashamed because it had been more for my convience than his needs.
It's been a rough week. I was joking about the donuts (I don't give him treats anymore)but I was serious about chilling out and just doing what the vet suggesting. If it doesn't work we'll do something else, I guess. Just feeling a little horse sensory overload right now:')
Wow great pictures....now I'll go read the post:)
Becky
Ok, when you get the pictures down loaded, you click on one picture then put the cursor on the picture and do a right click. Go to "properties" When the properties show up, cut the http" info then go back to you posting reply box, and put that with the html I gave you today.
Becky
Still trying to get them downloaded. I don't know what I'm doing.:)
