Well with this report maybe now we know why Michael Edward Reagan was in the back during the service in the Rotunda.

I agree that Ron Jr. was always his mother's darling and Patti gave her parents a bloody awful time...and it has been said that Michael didn't get on with Jane Wyman and came to live with Ronald and Nancy and that she resented it.

I think Ron Jr. is obnoxious. There is just something about him I do not like. And frankly these two kids sort of came around only after their dad was diagnosed. Somehow Maureen and Michael were always their dad's champions and it was Marueen who with Nancy worked tirelessly on the AD research.
I heard Neal Cavuto say tongiht that stem cell may help some but even if it helped him with his MS he would not be for abortion...and from what researchers say..stemcell research will not help AD.

If it does help find a cure .. it's in ADULT stem cells and not the embryonic stem cells the Liberals are pushing for

Those idiots need to do their research

As for Little Ron .. he's a jerk who used his father's funeral to make a political pot shot at Bush .. Shame on Him

He's a weasel in a pink tutu .. he should stick to dancing instead of politics

Okay, I will say it tonight since you brought up the subject. I got a 24 hour suspension for saying it on a Reagan thread during the week of funerals.

Nancy was, I believe, one of those women who was a wife but not a mother. And if you have listened to her words and read her writings, she has admitted it, actually.

I admire Nancy, but I don't respect her because of this failing. I think President Reagan was a good father to all his children, irregardless as to was his own biologically or who was adopted, from which wife.

God bless Ronald Reagan, not just a great President, but a good father.

I don't believe Reagan was ever really anti-abortion.
Before Roe vs. Wade he signed an abortion bill in California that was more liberal than anything that Roe later required.
I think when he decided to run for President and knew he would need the Christian Right vote, he changed his position, just like George H.W. Bush did.
While he said he was anti-abortion, he never once in eight years had anything to do with anti-abortion rallies nor did his administration introduce a single piece of legislation on it.
