Well Pips I will have to admit this house is pretty well settled. It doesn't creak like some of them do.
I've slept alone in it many nights and never hear any sounds creaking or otherwise.
Our bedroom is in the new part of the house and that will have a tendency to creak more than the old part. If you walk on the floors they will make quite a noise tho, and some are so crooked they will make you a little seasick until you get accustomed to them.

But I do love old houses, like I said to SweetLiberty, Older houses have such character and individuality and they are well built.
