Out of his mind!:)

He could not shake Larry Kings hand because he has a sprang thumb the one he rips the cord with!

I feel for Barbara in those intents moments!

Jack LaLane used to do crazy stunts like that (swimming and pulling boats) into his late 80's he is now in his 90's

We had a doctor here in Cape who would swim the Mississippi River every summer. He was eighty years old when he finally gave it up.

Oh, by the way, a thread here was wrong. He will be jumping tomorrow, it seems.

I must say that Nancy Reagan broke me up also. She looked so little and frail. I wonder how long she'll last without him?

I've been thinking the same thing. I expect she'll pine away without him. Months, I'd guess.

My 3 years anniversary was April 19th. Who else joined that day?? There must be several because we were all streaking over here pretty fast at that time.

Powerful picture Loddy. I'll betcha a lot of the military shed a tear. Few Presidents looked after and honored the Military like President Reagan. Yesterday, David said to me, boy does Clinton ever look OLD and out of place. He said, somehow, the guy just doesn't seem to fit!!

Nancy is probably looking forward to joining him. She appears battle worn already. She looked after him day and night for many years now and she deserves some rest. However, I agree it will be lonely for her.

BTW Nully, THIS Country is about to have a POLITICAL ENEMA!! The Canadian Conservatives have soared PAST the desperate Liberals EVEN in Ontario. They cannot even count on Quebec because their Political Scandals had to DO WITH Quebec so Quebec figures that the Liberals have made them look corrupt. Almost all 75 Quebec seats are to the Block Quebecquois!! Ontario is going almost all Conservative and the West will be ALL Canadian Conservative. hehehehehehehe!!

There is some truth to what you say, Babe..but at the same time she has been saying goodbye for a long time...he has been gone though his physical presence was still there. At least she could see him and touch him and hug him and I'll bet that he was like my uncle who died of AD also..my uncle may have forgot how to say my aunt's name but he still could say "my sweetie" and I'll bet RWR could too.

I hope Nancy gets some much needed rest so she can, if she wants to, continue to inspire everyone in the need for research into a cure of AD.

When my mom had it, the one thing I learned was to find something that the disease couldn't take away..if you look hard enough you will find things like the sparkle in the eye or you may even find how she handled you as a baby when she plays with her stuffed teddybears..how she made sure the sleeves were just so....or tried to feed you when she feeds the teddybear ice cream...or smokes her carrots ...

I hope we will share many more years with Nancy..but like you she and her Ronnie had such an unusual love affair she may leave us. All we can do is pray for her.

Canadian,
My aunt was just like Nancy REagan taking care of my uncle. Funny thing..she got colon Cancer and beat it but when I was taking care of her I found a note she left on the kitchen table where she was just scribbling..she said 'Poor Roy will follow soon" As it turned out he died first and she lived 4 years more and was taken down by a stroke...just when she was really starting to live again. But my aunt and uncle had the same kind of romance as RWT and Nancy. It is a beautiful thing to see...contrast that to the Mr & Mrs Slick Willies

Well, we were in the basement for about thirty minutes during a severe storm warning. The storm just blew in expectantly and the power went off...and stayed off for over four hours.

My daughter and grandchildren were here. The kids had a ball playing with the flashlights in the dark and watching the storm from a window. They love the drama, you know.

So my husband tells me later that he is just not satisfied with my emergency preparedness with candles and a radio on battery power. No, he is going to buy a generator.

Well, I hope he does buy one, because I am going to purchase a nice piece of jewelry for myself after I see what he paid for the generator.

LOL

Wow..some areas of the country have just been battered endlessly with storms.
One tidbit..don't use candles. Out here during the earthquake some were using candles and the news guys reported that the fire dept said not too..in case of another quake the candles could fall and start fires..so use the flashlites ( or torch as they say in Merry Ol').
The generator will be worth it's wt in gold..the sale of them went up when we were w/out power for more than 13 hours..
