Especially since I'll be told yet again to get braces, which I can't afford, never could afford, and never will be able to afford.

Do you have a dental plan at work? You could have your dentist 'prescribe' braces. They ARE necessary sometimes to get the teeth in the right place to make your jaw be under not so much stress, which is a cause of headaches, etc. Also, I don't think they are as expensive as they used to be. Seems like Joseph's were cheaper than Clare's, but that may have been that his teeth didn't need as much adjusting as hers.

Dental plan barely touches orthodontics. And for me, it WOULD be just cosmetic. At this point, I'm far too ancient to want to deal with something for purely cosmetic reasons, especially as it would cost into the thousands for me.
