Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Still round the corner we may meet...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Sounds like a good plan Corin... the barbeque. If appropriate time presents itself tell Nana Happy Birthday from a lady in Texas who's come to care a lot for her through your family tales.

It is silly looking....

No, it's not! It's cute!! Tell Becky, I like the name 'Ginger'. How did she come up with that?

and -of course- my "personal touches" like my Jesus fish and Chhoose Life license plate! :-)

You got a St. Chris medal hangin from the rear view mirror, or a plastic Jesus on the dashboard?

Washed away some of my cucumber plants...

Are they in the neighbor's yard with your flowers?

That Yankee Flipper is great! The squirrels and chipmunks really enjoyed our bird feeder this past winter!

I got some d@^^n good enchiladas in NM! Stacked, green chile enchiladas. *swoon* Am still in search of some good tamales- the ones I had were so so. Kinda dry, poorly spiced, etc. My coworkers were aghast: I ate Mexican every nite and half the days for lunch, too. Good thing my system can handle it.

Update on Doughboy's shed coming soon. He's been very busy.

Well, if you don't mind... I think it is time to drag you all kicking and screaming to a new hole...

ExGeeEye.... mind if I use your song to beckon them over?

Haven't been around enough to call and check. But now that the roof is on it a call to the county may be in order. Muahhaaa. I'm looking forward to him finishing, however. He's one noisy blankety blank. Between his music and his cussing there's no peace and quiet to be found. We plant our Leyland cypresses this weekend.
