Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Are you talkin' about a tea ball? Where you put loose tea in it to steep?

Where do you get loose tea nowadays?
To: Overtaxed
I have bought it in bulk at a grocery store in Waco and a natural food store in Austin and also found some in tins at different specialty stores. The store in Waco is the one Bear and Rose and I talk about all the time, HEB. It's a Texas based grocery store and the bigger ones have stuff like that.

Guess I don't go to fru fru stores. All I've seen lately is teabags.

Yeah, tea ball sounds like the right technical term :) Although I always thought that was a sport. . .

I've found loose tea in bulk at Asian grocery stores, too.

Well, if there are any stores that have stuff in bulk you might look there. That's more what a big HEB is. No fru fru.... good stuff.. for cheap! They have one I really like that has black tea with lots of hibiscus and lavendar! That's the one I usually get. They also have dried herbs in bulk to use to make your own teas. And they're really cheap!
I know ya'll don't have 'em up there, but you might check around and see if there are any other stores that carry bulk stuff like that. We don't have any in WF. *sigh* I stock up when I go home.

I haven't seen loose tea down at the Kroger.

I just did a Google search on "tea free samples". Looks like you can get a lot of free tea that way :)
Let me know when your samples arrive!--I'll be interested to hear how you like them!

And now we're gonna watch Master and Commander, which I haven't seen yet. I'm going to have to get that soundtrack. It has one of my MOST favorite Ralph Vaugh Williams songs on it. It's the one that was playing during that violent storm. It's called "Variations on a Theme by Thomas Tallis".
