Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

The Queen wouldn't be caught dead in some of those hats. They're great.

I'm going with Song of the Sword. I did consider Imperialism, just because it would be cool to root for Imperialism.I used to root for the Imperialists, but then they betrayed the Revolution! I cannot lose to an Imperialist!

Those Isengard orcs have a hard time with that "leave none alive" command. That's 'cause it had more than two words in it :) They did a nifty job on blowing up the trench, though!

The point of watching the Derby isn't the horses. It's the hats. Some of those ladies look like they just got off the remake of My Fair Lady.Uh-oh--y'all aren't going to start hat-bashing again, are you? First fedoras and now derbys. . .
To: JenB
Hence the garage sale.

'Course the horse would have to balance on two legs...
To: Fedora
I like hats!
Hmm... looks like Song of the Sword was the right choice. What sort of sword, I wonder. A sakabatou?

PS: The latter pic in my last post was supposed to be prefaced by your text which I accidentally clipped (I guess the sword was sharper than I realized!):

Sigh... I'm fond of katanas, that I am...
Wow, I have two social events planned this week! Going out with two different friends. That's about as much as I've done in the last four months.

Sigh... I'm fond of katanas, that I am...Me, too!--I'm checking out prices right now to see if saving up for one is feasible. . .Meanwhile I'm definitely going to get a bokken, though. And until I get a chance to pick one up I'm practicing my staff technique--got one staff that's about the right length I can practice bokken on it.
So what social events you got planned?

To: Darksheare
That's cool! Thanks!
Darksheare, you haven't been around enough... too busy with other threads? Or don't you like us any more?

Expensive, unfortunately, but servicable.
And welcome!
The L6 Bainite blades sound interesting to give a try, but I'm not well versed in swordwork.

LOL!
I like you guys still!
I went troll hunting for awhile, wandered far and wide, wrote some poetry, did some drawings, almost got my big mouth suspended a few times in all likelyhood, and got busy enough that my usual threads were ending up neglected.
*sigh*
So, I bothered Fedora on another thread and wandered back this way.

I think I saw you when I was lurking at the weird bodganpolska thread - I was watching Hair... now there's a weird situation.

That
is weird!
BTW, you've got mail. . .
To: Darksheare
It's really weird. Really really weird. I'm glad at least most of the Hobbit Hole have met each other - you and Fedora are about the only ones who still might be cross-dressers or mad axe-men.
