Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Sounds like an involved project!--I helped produce a video once and I know how much goes into that. It'll be worthwhile, though, if it helps market your classes. Good luck with that!
To: Wneighbor; Fedora
I take it that easy grades is not the point of your video?
To: Wneighbor
He ain't passin'. *snif* that's just beautiful

*snif* that's just beautiful Thankee, thankee... I'm gettin' job satisfaction right now not from my students, but from the word that's out in the town about the quality of my graduates. At this time I have more people wanting to hire one of my graduates this year than I have graduates!
The first year I worked here I would call local businesses and their people wouldn't even want to talk to me 'cause somewhere along the line they'd hired a drafter from here who sucked. Things has changed!

Now that's the kind of praise that really means something!
I know who I'd be taking classes from if I wanted to learn drafting.

Yeah, but the word's out that my classes are tough. I don't have enough students signing up to fill the class cause most folks want to do something easy and forget the job that comes later. *sigh*

Freepmail me an email and I'll send it to you.
To: Wneighbor
Maybe you should do cable tv ads or something. "Take my drafting course - it'll be hell, but if you make it, you'll get hired".

LOL
Sounds good Jen. I'm hoping the marketing project I'm working on will help... but it is for all programs at the college, not just mine.

To: JenB
You've got mail! :)
To: Fedora
Welcome.
I'll probably wade through my e-mail sometime in the morning.
*ugh!*
At least, that's how things have been turning out lately.

Okay, LOL! Been busy lately, huh?
To: Fedora
As the song Circles by the band Nonpoint says "Going around in circles again".
Yes, busy, going in circles.
It's annoying, makes me feel like I'm in a blender.

I know how that goes! Well, at least circles go in cycles, so hopefully that means you're due for a break! :)
To: Fedora
I sure hope so!
Meanwhile, I'm going to head off to sleep for now.
It's 9:30, my cat will start tossing her 24 pound bulk at me and biting me if I'm not in bed soon.
I swear, the psychotic thing can tell time, and also has som epathological 'need' for me to be in the room by 9pm..
