Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Morning! Sonya found two dresses that go with the flowers...
I think we might like the yellow one best, but both work.

Why was the woman MOVING??? You aren't supposed to be moving when you hear sirens! At least that's how it is in Texas and OK...you either pull over and get out of the way or you freeze and let the police, or EMS or firemen by! I'm continually amazed by the folks who just keep on driving when a police car, fire truck or ambulance is trying to come up behind them or is heading toward them! Sometimes you can only hear them, and when I do hear the siren, I immediately start pulling over cause I never know from which direction it's coming. I certainly would NOT keep going through an intersection; that's just ASKING for trouble!

Both were good responsible riders but that didn't save 'em.Clare noticed last week in Driving Class, and again this week at the RMV the HUGH posters that read, "Motorcycles are Everywhere!!!!!". I'm always scared for motocyclists because of the idiot automobile drivers out there.

Myranda and I always make it a point to say a prayer when we see EMS.LOL! That's an old ingrained habit from Catholic School. We always said a little prayer when we heard a siren. Still do it!

Your answer was fine. I don't know that there's a "side" on this one, other than to prove that a lot more people go over there than admit it...

I still think Lembas is akin to Manna from Heaven (You know, the elves prolly learned the recipe from the Eldar). And then, of course, there is Lembas *juice* ;-)
(Thanks to MyBackYard for the recipe for the juice! Post #813)

It seems to me from the article, that the officer did exactly by the book, and that the driver of the car did *not* yeild right of way. Prayers to the family and the Department.
I guess it will all come out in investigation.
