Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Isn't Happy Monday an oxymoron?
Though I guess mine is OK. It's POURING rain out there, and I swear there was some sleet mixed in at some points. Ugh.
But the scale had me down 5 POUNDS from last week. How much of that is just water weight rather than fat loss remains to be seen, but my GOSH it's good to see that needle move in the right direction for once!
*happy dancin'*

I just hope it sticks! Or doesn't stick. You know what I mean! Hope that it isn't a fluke.
Only time can tell!

Yes...if you know the context. Without context, it's unintelligible.
A fragment of a conversation I had last Friday:
"They usually do that when they do that."
Both I and my conversational counterpart knew exactly what that meant.

Short version: it didn't happen. Slightly longer version: I am inclined to be PO'd. Expanded further: Maybe that's how I don't get the invite to Houston. Elaboration: I ain't callin' them no mo'. They call me, that's fine.

They left you sitting by the phone waiting for them? How rude.
Oh well. Maybe it's NOT meant to be?

It won't be a fluke if you keep sticking with the eating plan that works for you Rosie. You know, different things work for different people. Sometimes it's a case of just finding which one works for you.
I have some mild food allergy problems. I find that when I stay away from the things I'm allergic to I don't have near as many problems with weight gains. And I feel a *lot* better! But, I think you are too young to have to deal with that stuff!

We're still prayin' for you on that job assignment though. Maybe the *right* place for you just hasn't come through yet. Sounds like a good idea to let them call you though. You've made all the overtures, now let them call you when the time is right. You'll know if you need to contact them again.
