Good heavens, but you know, when I do start dating, it'll probably be someone even geekier than I am... he'll probably think hanging out in the graphic novels section of the bookstore is really romantic.

LOL! I'm not that bad, I just find it easy to memorize trivial stuff like that for some reason. Which is even easier with comics because of the visual layout. I can also recall hundreds of commericals off the top of my head, without even attempting to memorize them. I guess some stuff just sticks in there for random reasons. :)

LOL! I've only been into classical music the past few years, so I didn't know about that. I'll have to listen to that sometime. Wasn't that also when electronic synthesizers were becoming popular, what with Axel Foley and Jan Hammer and all that?

I can remember the title, author, and basic plot of most of the books I've read. Always could. My mother used to take me along to library sales to find out what we already owned.

Actually, it was even earlier than that, back around 1970. Back in the MOOG synthesizer days.

Quite a far cry from the MIDI setups of today.

I don't know if the graphic novels section of a bookstore would be romantic--a comic-book store or convention maybe, LOL! Just kidding; I have a better sense of romance that that :) But I actually took a girl into a comic-book store once--not on a date, we were just walking down the street and we happened to walk by--and the store owner seemed very offended that I had brought a girl in there--ROFL!

I could've used your help when I was trying to inventory my books for insurance purposes! :) I can do that with books I've read, too, though sometimes I may have to take some time to remember if it's something I read in the midst of a lot of other books. When I'm doing library research for nonfiction I'm writing I may skim dozens or even hundreds of books at a time and in that case details may get fuzzy. But for fiction reading I pretty much remember everything. With comics I can even see the panels in my head.

Cool pic :) It reminds me of a 1970s computer book I inherited from my dad (written by Frank Herbert of all people) with a picture of a big mainframe on the cover :)

I know a lot of people who can never reread a book because they say "I know what's going to happen". I've never understood that. But they don't understand how I can reread a book a dozen or more times.

I think maybe part of it was he was jealous. Also he was mad because I asked him to look up a back issue for me, which required him to get off his fat butt and go to the back of the store. He was totally like the comic-book guy from Simpsons :)

I don't understand that either. If I like a book or movie I'll read/watch it over and over. To me that's better than watching something new I don't like.

Absolutely. That's why I shell out the bucks for anime. I'd rather watch Rurouni Kenshin over and over and over again, than watch 'Friends' or whatever my parents have on.

Aha! - Turkeys are crafty.... remember chasing and trying to keep sight of them on my trip to the Arizona woods.

Had some pics of turkeys my dad hunted back when Ramius was a kid, but I can't find them.

We don't have turkeys here. Too wet, I think.
