Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Guess it's a shame we need sleep, huh. How do people manage on six hours?

I have no idea! I have siblings like that, even. They can sleep two hours one night and ten the next and just balance things out a little.
Ain't no WAY that works for me.
Heh...I have "The Emperor's New Groove" playing through my head. I got it out and watched it again this weekend.

Two and then ten? That's scary beyond all reason.
How did Disney manage to make one good movie in the last five years?

'Morning. Can I go back to bed now?
To: RosieCotton
Look, other people have joined us. Is that allowed?
Beautiful sunny day here. I'll be leaving for class shortly. Maybe I'll be able to enjoy a little of the sun at some point.

It's all cloudy and rainy today.....good sleepin' weather...and the boss(es) are out of the office all week.

'Morning. The azaleas out this way are budding up. The thyme I brought from NC wants to flower. It's alive! It's alive!

Supposedly it's gonna be partly sunny this afternoon...but it's taking it's time getting that way.
And it's cold out there, compared to the last few days, in any case. Upper 30s.

Gots a new bulb catalog from Brecks. My m-i-l wants to buy some for our yard. They have pink and white daffodils. Never seen 'em before.
Saturday is slated for yard work. Gots to get summer stuff out. Mostly just gonna do some potted stuff. But I have some sunflower seeds and some daisy seeds I wanna plant.
Gotta mulch the rest of the stuff. Need me a compost heap.

*Sniff* I miss my compost heap.
I have a bunch of stuff in pots. Guess I could pick some lettuce and spinach now. The herbs are coming on and I need to pot up the 'maters and peppers.
I plan on going to the local arboretum with my camera on Saturday and I'm meetin' up with OB and LSA at a plant sale in May.
Miss Kittie's "nip" is putting out.
