Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yes... I suppose you're right. I've never had any in-laws before. I'm still adjusting. :-)
Why is it that in-laws and out-laws are not nowhere near each other in the dictionary?

You know, on my mother's side of the family, a brother and two sisters of one family married two sister and a brother of another family. It really messes with the family tree!
James Anderson m. Clara Vardeman
Lela Anderson m. Ed Vardeman
Nannie Anderson m. Joe Vardeman
(BTW, these people were all born in the 1890s, so it is a few generations removed ;-)

I think my older brother would call you our brother in-law-in-law.

The best places for baby clothes are the church consignment sales. Our church does a HUGH clothing and toy consignment sale in the spring and the fall. Mrs. is involved in "leadership" so she gets just about all of Luke's clothes there for pennies. We usually sell stuff too when we get our act together. But you offer to consign, women's ministries keeps a small percentage and you get the rest. You can donate it or get your stuff back if it doesn't sell. They usually make more than $10,000 for the women's ministries, so you know it's hugh.

I have an in-law that has been an out-law. So they can be the same thing sometimes, though that is not a good thing.

I think my older brother would call you our brother in-law-in-law. Still, better than being the brother-out-law. Much as I try... just can't seem to end up on the other side of the law. But I'm workin' on it. :-)

Corin, you still doing your blog??? Yep. Got my own domain at www.wardsmythe.com. Using that to (hopefully) post one column a week and then using Blogger to do the daily stuff (there's a link on the main page).

Oh, yeah, I know your mom doesn't like it, I was wondering if maybe your siblings might get it for you.
Glad your power's back--you got a storm? There was one here last night.
To: Ramius
I guess I did. Oops. :)

Rosie,
Check out the "6 Week Body Makeover" (do a Google search). It's what I used last year when I lost the 50 lbs. Unfortunately I've gained 20 back. BUT, it works if you stick to it. And you can have rice and potatoes.

I did ask Jill-chan for a Rurouni Kenshin wall hanging. The other sibs wouldn't know good from Sailor Moon.
