Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hmm, the jalapenos will make you unpopular with the pizza makers. That juice from that stuff is hard to get off your fingers. I worked at a pizza place two summers ago. Jalapenos were, after anchovies, the most-loathed topping to have to put on.
I refused to do the anchovies. Too slimy.

JenB; hmmmmm. juice on fingers? One would have thought that food prepartion people would be using latex gloves.
However, pizza hut is only one around here that does offer that most appropriate of toppings - Jalapenos. :-)
Once I saw calamari as a topping, along with hard boiled egg slices. Guess you can never tell about local tastes.

I usually put them out when the azaleas are in bloom...

Evening Hair; the horses still enjoying the woods? Cross fencing eh? Electric?
Saturday naps are almost as good as Sunday ones. :-)
Overtaxed, how did the cubs do?
To: osagebowman
We took the horses out of the woods so we could let it recover and seed the witches circle with new grass... so they are out in the main pasture, but it really isn't ready. Needs another week or two of good growing. The temp electric fence gives them enough room to roam out there while protecting most of it.

Mmmm.....anchovies. I'd put them on the pizza if I weren't already sick of them!
To: Corin Stormhands
*Sniff* That's just beautiful.

Stoopid Cubs blew a 2-0 game and lost. (the wind was blowing in.) Now I'm listening to the stoopid Red Sox.

Excellent idea; it appears Gypsy girl is indicating that her walk is next on the agenda. She has had a pretty good day today as well.

painting the fence over here. Most of it has been done for some time, but the rest needed finishing up. It's just in time for rainy season.
Had my job fair this mornin. My goodness, I almost feel it was a waste of time. I certainly hope it wasn't though. We were interviewing for teaching positions for the next academic year. Most of the schools were only taking resumes, which was disappointing, as I do think some of them were hiring directly earlier this morning. Personally, I over did it. I got all gussied up, and stood in line for each of the 11 elementary schools, two of the middle schools, the ESL department, and the substitute line. Ended up having stood in line for 4 hours with one small break. By the time I got home, babygirl was letting me know I shouldn't have done that. I didn't even bother to pull into the garage. I kicked off me stockings and shoes before I got out of the car, and let PE pull it into the garage (I don't think I would have been able to get out of the car otherwise, LOL)

Oohh... I can't give you direct sympathy, but based on my mother's many pregnancies... I hope you're taking it really easy this evening!
