Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I shall have some comic violence for you within the hour :) I'm on the rough for the last panel now, after that I've gotta ink it.
What's in this episode of Ranma? BTW, how were the mangas you've read so far?
To: HairOfTheDog
ROFL! I just looked it up and it is not only the past tense, but it is also the past participle.

I had to look up what a participle is...
A form of a verb that in some languages, such as English, can function independently as an adjective, as the past participle baked in We had some baked beans, and is used with an auxiliary verb to indicate tense, aspect, or voice, as the past participle baked in the passive sentence The beans were baked too long.

May I mambo dogface with the banana patch?

Um, Shampoo the Chinese Martial Artist shows up to kill girl-Ranma, only to decide to marry boy-Ranma. Lots of running around and screaming. Akane, Ranma's first fiancee, is jealous but won't admit it, gets into a fight with Shampoo, and loses part of her memory.
Like I said, easy watching. Plus they have gorgeous voices. There's something so soothing about words I can't understand. Although I've picked up another one - kawai is 'cute'.

"Shampoo"?! :) Is that a transliteration or is it spelled that way in print? :)
The plot with the romantic twist involving girl/boy-Ranma sounds a lot like the plot of one of Jet Li's movies, only in that one it's the killer who changes sexes and becomes a girl and falls in love with the male hero.
I'm about halfway done with the inking here.

I never learned 'em all for English. I know 'em for Hebrew though, heh.

Okay, we got beardog a special doggie bed for Easter. At this time, both Elf-boy and beardog are sleeping on it.

hehehe... that's one of my favorite jokes. There's only eight, of course. Nobody gets it, anymore. :-)

It's really "Shampoo".
This is really a very silly story. Can't think why I bother with it, except that it's silly.

Hair; well, that is a different word alright.
re; springtime in the rainforest, very nice; the witches circle greening up nicely. RMD was talking about her and WN camping there, unless 'someone' starts hanging little stick figures from the trees.
and good night
To: JenB
Silly is fun! Besides, there are sillier things than heroes named Shampoo. . .

So any new ideas on the plot?
To: Fedora
Mmm, I have been developing backstories for the minor characters - my philosophy of stories (ooh, big words, but it's not that weird) is that if I look at a particular story as the intersection of the stories of all the major players - and the minor ones, to some extent - I'll end up with a much better developed plot.
Also I have loads I'm sketching out in my mind. I've got lots of story-line, not a lot of exact dialogue. Still need to name the heroine. Don't suppose you like 'Hairspray'.

I think Hairspray is already taken :)

On second thought, it'd go with "Shampoo", though. . .
