Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It was the craziest durn thing riding the metro in a formal- crazier still to see everyone else on the metro in formals, too! The only Inaugural ball we've done (in DC) was for Bush Sr. We went to the event at the Kennedy Center. Wall to wall people, cash bar, NO food (even to purchase). Mrs. was pregnant with Jr. so we went across the street to Shoneys and had dinner. Came back.
We have had that experience. Don't need it again. But I'd love to come to the FReeper ball.
Heck I just bought a tux, so I'm already packed...
(can I stay home today?...nevermind, Terry McAwful is on the Today show....puke...)

Check your e-mail....both of you...and reply! I smell major law suit, unless that was staged. I don't know where you and your brother get your warpped sense of humor though.

Where do you and Rosie find these marriage/relationship threads? They draws me...like a bug to a light.
And frequently, like the bug, I end up getting flamed. ;-) Didn't this time, but the heavy "women are evil" hitters weren't out in force.

Meanwhile Spock snuck up behind Ben-Veniste and gave him a Vulcan nerve pinch, which was pretty cool. I'd pay real money to see that!

Well, I don't know whether to congratulate you for being out of 5th grade test horror or say condolences for the end of a paycheck. So, take whichever is appropriate to your mood today! :-)
I'm such a klutz! I got to work a little late this morning and was hurrying from my truck into the building. Ran right into a piece of rusted angle iron sticking up out of the bed of some truck. Got a gash on my face now from it! Looks like somebody walloped me good! LOL... doesn't hurt, just looks bad, prolly be sore later. Numb now.

Ruh-roh! Just got an email from Netflix that their fee is going up to $21.99/month starting June 15. Did y'all get that too?
