Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Prayers for your buddies, and really relieved to hear that things might be calming down.
Good morning!

You've been back from suspension, yeah, but not around. I thought maybe we'd gotten boring or something.
Hurrah! Nice weather at last!

You hadn't gotten boring, just almost impossible to keep up with. ;^)
But I'm back and will be around as much as I can.

Heck, I'm on every day and I don't try to keep up. Just hang out with us a bit more.
I've been watching a new anime, "Rurouni Kenshin", lately. It's very good.

My wife and I visited an Sci-Fi shop that I saw on my to Orlando. It was huge inside. They had one half of the place devoted to tables for gamers to use on the weekends. They had lots of anime to rent.
They had some to buy as well, which is why I wanted to go there, but the stuff for sale was behind a counter that they did not allow customers to go behind. The boxes were too far away to see with any clarity so unless you went there knowing what you wanted you were pretty much screwed.
I guess no browsing was allowed, which stunk.

Oh, that's really lousy! My anime store is pretty small but everything's out in the open. Plus they have a standing discount on DVDs, which helps a little.
On the other hand, anime's so expensive I try not to buy unless I know it's good. If a friend recommends it, or I've seen a few episodes, I'm more likely to get it. Maybe that's why they rent it?

Good morning! That...big bright thing in the sky that makes it feel warmer - it's out! It's been FOREVER since I saw it...what's it called again?
On the downside, I overslept again. Was half an hour late, which means going home half an hour later. But then I can go for another long walk - in NICE weather this time.

Good morning! Yes, the shiny round thing is back! And the sky has stopped drenching me, and it's blue - is that supposed to happen? I barely needed a jacket this morning.

`You are not wise to be glad of the Yellow Face,' said Gollum. `It shows you up. Nice sensible hobbits stay with Sméagol. Orcs and nasty things are about. They can see a long way. Stay and hide with me! 'We hates it Precious!

I think it's OK to say that word...it's the right name for the Yellow Face that we mustn't say. It would jinx it.

Ah. Ok. The sky is so blue and clear. I mean, completely cloudless. It's scary how pretty it is.
