Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner we may meet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well... of course. No self-respecting sea-story is actually verifiable. We all know that any story beginning with "No s#!t... there I was at thirty thousand feet when..." must be the absolute truth of the matter.

I'm OK this evening/week. Life does not suck, which, all things considered, is about as good as it gets.
Had a major foulup with our #$%%ing purchasing group today. Something I've been waiting for delivery to Phx turns out to never had been @#$%ing ordered. Finally got the order out today and now I'm a couple of delivery-waiting weeks behind on that project, all of a sudden.
Fargin' iceholes. Bastiges.

Yes, life does not suck is good. But, I am better than that this week so I'm a little better than it gets maybe. However, purchasing comes up with regular problems as always! How do they manage to know which PO's are really important so they can cause delays that way? Do you think that's one of the criteria for being in purchasing? Maybe an interview question, "Tell me about your experience determining which PO's are the most needful of letting fall through the cracks...." LOL
You at the watering hole or bachpad?
