I'll have a pitcher of margaritas on the rocks, please. I would like to share it with my FRiends who choose to drink.

Happy Pitcher Day FRiends

From Pastor Lawson's Southern Fried Gospel--

....Here’s something to spend some time thinking about: We don’t plan our future; God plans our future. He says, "It will all happen as I have planned. It will come about according to my purposes." Isaiah 14:24 (New Living Translation) Knowing this should bring us hope for the future. As a boy, Dave Dravecky dreamed of playing baseball in the major leagues. Dave worked hard and pitched his first no-hitter when he was eleven! Dave’s dream came true when, as a young man, he joined the San Diego Padres and helped them reach the World Series. After six seasons in San Diego, he moved up the California coast and became a starting pitcher for the San Francisco Giants. Just when everything seemed to be perfect in Dave’s life, doctors discovered a cancerous lump in his pitching arm. They had to remove it, along with most of Dave’s shoulder muscle. They told him he’d never pitch again. But Dave knew a secret: "If God wants me to pitch, I’ll be out there." Nine months after his surgery, Dave pitched again for the Giants. The crowd went wild! But just five days after his comeback, Dave’s arm broke, ending his baseball career. The cancer had returned. Doctors removed Dave’s arm to save his life. Dave could have been angry with God or given up hope. But instead he praised God. Dave knew God had a better plan for his life than he did. God had given Dave his first dream of playing baseball in the major leagues. Now He gave him an even greater dream—to tell others about Jesus.
