LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Audiences feasted on zombies as the fright flick "Dawn of the Dead" ruled the box office, debuting with $27.3 million and bumping "The Passion of the Christ" from the top spot.

Mel Gibson's "The Passion" took in $19.2 million, slipping to second place after three straight weekends on top, according to studio estimates Sunday.

I enjoyed "Spies Like Us" thopgh critically it was ranked at the bottom of the barrel ... and there are a few fun ones in "Deal of the Century" ... also ranked low, but I like it ...

don't see 'Nothin' but Trouble' ... yikes

myself I think it's the bypass line ... could be the bypass line ... I say "what are you doing up there, some stunt flyin' or something?" ... he don't say nothin', he just gives me that look ... you know he's got that look ... yeah, he don't say nothin' he just gives him that look ...

"Scary stuff!"

Indeed.

Made me note as I was driving home how completely indefensible the houses are in my neighborhood.

Any critics complaining about the violence in this movie?

(/sound of crickets chirping)

Hypocritical vipers.

I just got back from seeing this movie. I noticed folks missed a few things.

1. When they got into the mall after losing most of their loved ones, surrounded by a sea of flesh hungry zombies the elevator music in the background was playing "don't worry be happy". I was the only one laughing so the other movie goers must have thought I was nuts

2. Here we are in a war against evil moslems. An evil whichs infects the young and the foolish with its venom similar in effect to the zombies which spread evil by their bites. In the start of this movie what do see after the initial carnage but a brief showing of a bunch of moslems at prayer!

"don't worry be happy".

yes, the irony is pretty good ... I'm not a fan of the series, but good irony is always appreciated ...
