Okay, a short answer for once. Yes.
I write a poem almost every day. Some are just limericks or short twelve liners. Sometimes I get carried away.
Whoever wrote the essay about Liberals and Conservatives must have been tuned to my channel. Here's another I wrote about 23 hours ago.
By the way, I wrote about four poems yesterday, or was it five? Sometimes I lose count. Anyway, you'll see them soon enough.
We Are Here, We Are Here,
You have no more need to fear!
A Government program will help you.
No matter what the problem is,
Well help to see you through.
We have an endless source of funds,
We steal it from the rich.
We just ignore their strident cries,
No matter how they b!tch!
It doesnt bother us at all,
To pilfer from their larder,
So what if, to do as well,
They have to work much harder?
The busier they stay, you know,
The less they can complain,
How can we sympathize with them?
We never feel their pain.
Our wealth is always quite secure.
Weve seen to that, you know.
Our Daddies earned a fortune,
But that was long ago.
Weve managed to live down the shame,
Of knowing folks who worked,
And we built our separation,
With all the tasks weve shirked.
Weve never had to soil our hands,
Or even pay the help.
We have to save the money for,
The b*st*rds that we whelp.
God loves the common man, you know,
We dont hold that against em.
We bought their loyalty cuz we,
Stole rich folks stuff and fenced em.
In fact, we want to see some more,
So open up the borders.
Well find a way to buy their hearts,
By taxing greedy hoarders.
No one should really have a thing,
That we did not provide,
Except for us, in our compounds,
Where we are safe inside.
What makes you think that this is not,
A working battle plan?
Its worked so far, weve almost won,
But there is one tough man,
Who stands to interfere with us,
So we will send him packing.
Well let the losers vote our way,
And finish with the sacking.
Soon there will be nothing left,
Except the world we make.
By buying votes to power us,
With money that we take.
So, We Are Here, . . . We Are Here,
You have no need to fear!
The Governments gonna help you out,
No matter what youre craving,
Dont worry, you wont be the ones,
Whose lives are not worth saving.

"Captive" is powerful but sensitive film about the plight of the children of the 30,000 Disappeared in Argentina during the rule of the military junta in the late 1970's. I'll need some time to describe my connection.
