enjoying my spring break, thanks for asking.

You mean the one that tried to 'climb' onto my lap? He's not a kitten even though I call him that. He's almost 8 yrs old and weighs over 10 lbs. This morning he tried to nip my leg while I was getting ready for work. I guess he wanted me to let him out of the room, though if he wants out I've seen him open the door on his own (I don't have the door closed all the way). I said 'NO'in a stern voice and he laid down on the shower mat. Strange aren't they?

I know you work hard, but heck, you're rich too. Shhh! LOL.
My bank account doesn't think I'm rich. ;-)

That is until now! (And almost every weekend, when I'm seldom here.)

Oh, I didn't know he was 8 years old, I thought he was a baby, LOL! It's funny how pets communicate, I usually understand what my cat and dog try to tell me, and if I don't, they make sure I do.

Weekends, I'm usually on the computer with FR running in the background. There are other tasks that keep me busy on the weekends, but I'm never far away. I'd absolutely shrivel up and die! LOL!

He's myyyy baby. What do you think he wanted with the calf nip? I don't think I'm very good at understanding his communications (it would probably help if I didn't spoil him so that he wants me to do evertything for him!)

Madam Butterfly by zac conners
The Tuft of Flowers
I went to turn the grass once after one
Who mowed it in the dew before the sun.
The dew was gone that made his blade so keen
Before I came to view the leveled scene.
I looked for him behind an isle of trees;
I listened for his whetstone on the breeze.
But he had gone his way, the grass all mown,
And I must be, as he had been,alone,
As all must be, I said within my heart,
Whether they work together or apart.'
But as I said it, swift there passed me by
On noiseless wing a wildered butterfly,
Seeking with memories grown dim oer night
Some resting flower of yesterdays delight.
And once I marked his flight go round and round,
As where some flower lay withering on the ground.
And then he flew as far as eye could see,
And then on tremulous wing came back to me.
I thought of questions that have no reply,
And would have turned to toss the grass to dry;
But he turned first, and led my eye to look
At a tall tuft of flowers beside a brook,
A leaping tongue of bloom the scythe had spared
Beside a reedy brook the scythe had bared.
I left my place to know them by their name,
Finding them butterfly weed when I came.
The mower in the dew had loved them thus,
By leaving them to flourish, not for us,
Nor yet to draw one thought of ours to him.
But from sheer morning gladness at the brim.
The butterfly and I had lit upon,
Nevertheless, a message from the dawn,
That made me hear the wakening birds around,
And hear his long scythe whispering to the ground,
And feel a spirit kindred to my own;
So that henceforth I worked no more alone;
But glad with him, I worked as with his aid,
And weary, sought at noon with him the shade;
And dreaming, as it were, held brotherly speech
With one whose thought I had not hoped to reach.
Men work together, I told him from the heart,
Whether they work together or apart.

He tends to win our arguements, his eyes are bigger and sadder than mine. (Then there is the other kind of arguement where my foot follows him out the door.)

Wow, love the pic and the poem, Oesy. Thank you kindly.
