Yeah, I know what you mean. SSQ has a Martin D20 that he bought in 1972 with his college loan money! That sucker is worth more than his car at this point, but that's not saying much. He has a 1991 Ford Crown Vic.! LOL!

He loves it, though, and enjoys it tremendously when he pulls it out to play. Makes gorgeous bell tones!

Yeah...good, quality instruments are wonderful to have. But then...my mandolin is a good, quality instrument, and it's not worth half as much as the guitar. And I could get a good, quality, but not QUITE as fancy (i.e. factory-built as opposed to small shop built) guitar for less than half of what I could get for the Collings.

Give me another couple weeks or a month...maybe I'll talk myself into this.
