I didn't know there was a movie version of Mysterious Island. I know I saw a movie version of Around the World in 80 Days, and believe there were several done of 2000 Leagues... to say nothing of the part in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Sigh... I am in anime heaven... have just watched several episodes of Ruruoni Kenshin. Definitely wonderful. Love it.
Are you the one who was telling me about burning dvds? I'd really like to give my little sister a set of these.
Oh, and I'm sick tonight so I have no guilt for vegging out and watching, oh, four hours of lovely anime.
And I'm spaced out on Nyquil, too! Yay for cold medicine, yay for anime, extra yays for kicking-butt-with-loads-of-style anime.
Er. Well. Um. I think I'm calling in sick tomorrow.

I've seen a few different versions of
20,000 Leagues--the Disney version, an old silent one, plus a recent one.
Around the World in 80 Days is a great movie. Disney also did a fun version of
Journey to the Center of the Earth starring James Mason and Pat Boone. Never saw
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen--how was that?
Yes, I was the one telling you about burning DVDs--for informational purposes only, of course, since I would never do such a thing :)
Hope you feel less sick soon! I know how being spaced out on Nyquil goes--makes me feel light-headed when I take that kind of stuff. But it sounds like a good excuse to veg out and watch anime all day tomorrow :)
