Movie was nice somewhat mindless violence. I am debating spending all day tomorrow watching movies - I have this hankering for Shakespeare and musicals - or writing, or tormenting little brothers for fun.
Sigh... I used to be part of a little group that fancied ourselves... not Inklings, but above the mutual admiration societies. Most of them have disappeared into the ether now.
We here at the Hole have a once-a-year NaNoWriMo group; me, Rosie, Corin, Overtaxed, and Rose did it last year. By the way, you'll be getting ping-spammed about that come late October, just to warn you...

I could be up for watching movies tomorrow. Let me know what you decide to watch--I have some Shakespeare and musicals. Would also be up to MSTY-fying some bad movies--our discussion of Japanese cartoons, etc. earlier got me in the mood to rewatch some old Godzillas :)
Looking forward to the NaNoWriMo, though I'm not guaranteeing 250 pages!--unless I cheat and start early :) Actually, though, I do have a notebook with several hundred story ideas, maybe I'll just pick one of those.

Rose and I used to be close to a writing group that got together to publish their own shared-world stories. It was a lot of fun, sort of a mini-fandom. Plus, we both liked their writing, so it wasn't just that we knew two of the four guys involved and were friendly with them. Anyway, I found their efforts inspiring at the time... sort of, "if this guy I know can write such good stuff, why shouldn't I try it?" Of course, each of them was a much better writer than I...
By the way, each year they participated in the 3-day Novel Contest. They web-published their stories as they were written, with commentary posted on their own message board. It was quite a lot of fun, waiting for parts to be posted and discussing the stories with other fans in more-or-less real time!
