Actually Pekes have a lot of cat like qualities. They love to rub up against you for instance.

Labs are a working dog.... bred to want to run and hunt and retrieve, not lay around... but overly hyper has not been my experience, more than the first few excited minutes when they get somewhere new or people come over. Of course... if they are stressed out from being alone when you come over to sit them.... maybe they are at their worst.

I've not ever been a ring steward for him...so can't say I've met him. But he has a long and stellar history in the game. He'll be fair.

The ears should stand up. I think what you are seeing is more the dog pulling them back than actually floppy.

Yep....big ears, but soft skin on the breed.....not always as likely to stand erect....or "prick" ear, as we say in the game.

Is it better if the dog stacks themselves or does it matter if the handler stacks them?
