Eph. 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faithand this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God Eph. 2:9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
That is precisely what the Catholic Church teaches
Good then we are In agreement We are saved by GOD"S GRACE
nor by our WORKS. Please tell conservonator about this.

Where have I said that works are required? And what is meant by "works" in NT scripture?

(To be Catholic is to enjoy the fullness of Christian faith.)

The Catholic Church also teaches that through cooperation with God's grace, we do actually perform good works, and that these result in actual merit. I.e., AFTER having been given the gift of God's grace, we do actually have a claim in justice on some reward from God. This is not to deny that everything good that we do, and all the merit we may have, is contingent on having received, as a pure, free gift, the original grace that results in justification.
