The question was about doctrine, not ritual. Ritual would be whether the mass was said in English, Spanish, Latin, Hebrew, or Aramaic. Doctrine is what Mel believes, not how he worships.

I believe how Gibson worships is directly related to his salvation in his denomination which is old school (pre-Vat2). Why doesnt he say mass in English? Does he believe he is hell bound if he does it in English? Why doesn't he respect the chair in this respect but not in the salvation of protestants? If he puts so much stock in the Pope, then why ignore much of Vat2?

Its just difference of faith. Like I said, faith in Christ is the root of all the matters for Christians.

I wont go any further because we all know how needlessly heated these threads can get. Thanks for the reply.
