I honestly think the war against competition and excellence is a concious effort on the part of the Left to destroy excellence in America and perhaps Western Civilization.

I agree. It reminds me of how when Japan conquered Okinawa they forbid weapons training in order to make the populace easier to control. The same tactic is being used against us, just more subtly.

Without competition and / or hard work, there can be no excellence, IMO. Only a middling mediocrity.
