Nah, Rosie and I are just being exercise partners... neither of us are in the shape we'd like to be in, and working out "together" helps. A little.

It does help (a little). I have two online exercise partners and we check up on each other periodically to make sure we're sticking to our programs :)

BTW, 'funkle' means you have five or more posts in a row without someone else commenting. Unless you're spamming. And "Mini-moot" is the official term for a local gathering of two or more Holers.

Thanks! Being a newbie I don't know these things :) What's "spamming" mean in this context, then? Also, I was just going to ask, what's Doomsday?--I see people talking about that a lot.

Spamming means to post the same comment, or a variation, repeatedly in order to "get" a desired post number.

Doomsday, besides being the end of the world, is shorthand for "Doomsday Book", a great, touching, wonderful novel by Connie Willis (salaams in awe), the best writer doing SF today, IMHO. I just got Rosie to read it. It's one of the few books I rank higher than LotR.
