Well, I do seem to have some kind of natural ability...
We just got back from the GREATEST concert! Anonymous 4 is an a cappella women's group that does mostly 'early' music; medieval and renaissance era. They did a concert over in Northhampton tonight singing music from their new CD "American Angels". I think I mentioned it the other night. They did some wonderful old hymns, psalms, and folk songs. Many of them had been favorites of 'camp meetings' in the middle and late 19th century. They did two different versions of "Amazing Grace" that I'd never heard, and a lovely version of "Wondrous Love". SSQ's favorite was "Sweet By and By". They did that one again as a second encore, and folks just started singing along with them! It was VEY moving, and I got fahklempt!
I'm so glad we got to see them cause they're breaking up as a group after this tour. I have several of their CDs and didn't think to bring one to be autographed or anything! We were going to buy one of their new CDs, but by the time I'd found the bathroom and gotten back into the Church, they were all gone! They all signed my program instead!
