All it really does is make people write their password down, and most of them do it by putting a sticky-note up under the keyboard. Okay, so I'll admit this. I have my padlock for the gym locker on my gym bag. Actually now I have two because in the interim when I was not being fitness dwarf, I forgot the combination for the old one.
Remembered to put the new one somewhere where I wouldn't forget...but I don't remember where that was...but at least I still remember that combination.
Yet another reason to invest in a good pair of bolt cutters.

I can still remember the combination of the combo lock I got for my tenth birthday. Of course, that's probably because I knew darn well that if I ever locked it somewhere it didn't belong and didn't remember how to open it, my Dad would have killed me.
I haven't been so lucky when it comes to remembering numbers since then.
I should get them to give me that lock...it's still out at the house, but I think I'm the only one who knows how to open it.

My trunk has a combination lock. I associate the numbers with Tolkien things. It's worked... I forgot the code once, fortunately the lock was off the trunk, and I managed to get it open by feel.
But computers don't do that...
