My mother had a leaky tub problem. Turns out she was able to get insurance to pay for a complete bathroom remodeling. New floor, new tub. Hey, worth a try.

See if the insurance will cover it. I'm thinkin' our other insurance story might have pre-dated your arrival here. It wuz shortly afore your wedding.
Last August our master bath had a leak that came through the living room ceiling. Insurance paid for the repairs (completely redid our bathroom) and...replaced our piano. Cost insurance in the neighborhood of $7,000-8,000 to fix.
When we noticed the leak initially, I already talked with our insurance rep. He advised us not to turn in another water related problem anytime soon.
