Sounds like a good plan to me Suzi! I lived in family student housing right across from a large grocery store and on the bus route. It was maybe 7 or 8 miles from campus but with the bus and store I didn't need to worry about that. The place I worked was also 1 block off the bus route. I
had a car. I just didn't see the need to use it when I knew I couldn't find parking around campus anyway.
Like I said, things may have changed now. But, he can see when he visits.
He doesn't want to fool with the cost of upkeep of a car, and if he can get around otherwise, I think that's a wise decision.
