And Sean Bean was in Goldeneye, playing Alex Trevelyan, again the bad guy.

While researching, I found this British series:

I have got to find these DVDs ... the series is set in 1809, during the Peninsular Wars (can anyone say Master and Commander? The Hornblower series? Napoleonic Wars? One of the absolutely most fascinating times in history? I thought you could!) Sgt. Richard Sharpe, of the 95th Rifles, saves the life of one Arthur Wellesley (the future Duke of Wellington); in "reward," Sharpe is given a field commission to lieutenant and command of a company of men who do not respect him.

Oh, the costumes! Oh, the battle scenes! There are 15 movies in the series! I may swoon!

It's been a while since I saw Patriot Games; but I remember the villain in Golden Eye now that you mention it. He sure looked different there! That Sharpe series sounds interesting. How was Ronin--does that have anything to do with the Frank Miller series of the same name?

Ah, mo' bettah!

Note the green uniform, worn by Rifles. Not as flashy as the red coats, but durned effective on the right man!

The Sharpes series is GOOD!! I actually like the books better for the stories, but the DVDs are just plain EYE CANDY! ;o)

I had totally forgotten about Patriot Games, which is where I first saw Sean Bean!
