I am on a quest to convert people to Pippin!Love. Am not entirely settled with how Jackson and Boyens treated the two 'extra' hobbits (Tolkien didnt think they were "extra"!!)
One need read the little exchange between Pippin and Gandalf at Rivendell when Frodo wakes up after the Weathertop incident to get a full feel for the hobbit. Too funny for words.
Anyway, sorry I missed Wneighbor! Am hoping someone is still hanging around...

I also like the scene at Minas Tirith where Pippin scares Beregond's son Bergil by telling him "I am a halfling: hard, bold, and wicked!" :)
