Seems like for some of us, we had a seat we got from the hospital...they rented them out or some such - just the rear facing ones. Then we had toddler sized ones that we actually owned. Is that common, I wonder?

We owned our rear carseats, but that was because it was practically, move the baby to the toddler seat because next baby would be appearing in six months.
