I'm more inclined toward design, rather than implementation.

An implementers' nightmare. A designer that hasn't done what they do. :-)

I don't mean to be flip about it. Quite the contrary. You're smart, and you'll do very well in whatever you choose to do.

Just don't get cocky. :-) I took a really cool class in Expert Systems when I was going for my MBA (no, I didn't finish it... long story). Had to develop an expert system. Was really cool. Had big fun doing it. Problem is... is that it is a really neat solution in search of a problem. It's now six or seven years later and still expert systems are very, very few and far between. I'm shocked, really.

Hehe, I've done the implementation side, so I know just enough to be really dangerous. However I'm good at debugging and QA...

My company sells what are basically really simple expert systems. Configurators. There's a serious market for that. For 'real' expert systems, you're right. Hafta be working for NASA or something.
