The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I *had* the Heart of Gold. But somebody took it. :-)

Ahhh... I think if you look around a little you can find another one. :-)

Which reminds me... I left the "Heart of Gold" around here somewhere... The crew is waiting, captain.

Okay, this was my freaky call of the day.
A southern lady --- maybe Tennessee or Kentucky --- calls me. Doesn't have any way for me to identify the machine she has, so I spend 10-15 minutes with her, answering some questions (can't remember what we talked about now). She ends the call with, "Thank you so much, baby-doll!" and hung up.
I sat there, stunned. I don't think anyone has ever called me "baby-doll" before!

Sounds good. Sure, directions... Are you planning on taking 287S the whole way? Cuz 287 turns into Main St. and Joe T's is just off Main St. at Commerce.

Let me rephrase that, it is on the corner of 22nd st and Commerce, just off Main St.

I rather liked the concept of the "Infinite Improbability Drive"...
The idea that disappearing in one place and reappearing in another place all the way across the galaxy is not impossible... it is simply wildly improbable.
Once the precise improbability is calculated with any precision.... wham... it happens.
Love it.
To: Ramius
LOL *grin* I'm glad you finally found it sweetie!

Wow. Will do. I'll come in on 287. I was thinking of going all the way to 35 and south to downtown but, I know the intersection. Gotta write it down before I forget.

There is much wisdom in the Hitchhiker's Guide. Really, there is:
-- Never forget where your towel is. Of course. Common sense, that.
-- Be a good frood. As in: "He's a good frood who knows where his towel is."
-- The best drink in the galaxy is the "ginninntonic".
-- The Earth is widely known to be "mostly harmless".
