The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Brought in some sausage balls (and sticky buns) to work today for a pot luck breakfast. I was the only one who cooked for this deal!

I dropped a subtle hint with my dad about wanting a metal dectector for my birthday.....

What did everyone else bring? Donuts from the corner grocery?
To: HairOfTheDog
Think he got it?
To: HairOfTheDog
Yeah...and bagels from the bagel place. Someone did cut up a cantaloupe.
To: Overtaxed
I think so!
The shooting down here is indeed a murder. Someone found dead.

Sounds like what I would do!

Elf-boy is convinced I make paper planes for a living. His first question when he visits is, "Where's the airplane?".

I suppose that's marginally better than a potluck lunch where people bring in KFC...

One thing I miss about working with the State. The State gig didn't pay anything, but those people could cook!
To: Penny1

Tell him I had a friend who made paper airplanes as a real job.
She taught kids how to make them at a hands-on exhibit at the Seattle Museum of Flight

I just LOVE that guy, he's so funny. I caught the last part of a Comedy Show he was in tonight. His last 'joke' was "it may be a small world, but I still wouldn't want to paint it." He's so deadpan, it was hilarious! He is hilarious. I caught him first on Saturday Night Live and later got a ticket to his live show. He played in a theater called the Oriental Theater, which is an old-fashioned movie palace characterized by Asian decor, including some giant Buddha statues and a big decorative wheel on the back wall. When he walks on stage the first thing he does is look at the Buddha statues and say, "I think I went too far east." Then he points at the wheel and says, "That's the largest nickel in the world."

NWCN site had a headline saying that a man was found dead in a truck. I didn't read the story though, since I don't wanna register at their stinkin' site.
I'm guessing it would be at the truck stop. Hitchhiker robbery gone bad perhaps? I suppose there is then the possibility that the perp got away on foot. Maybe keeping the model 19 handy would be a good idea for a couple of days?

Good morning. If it is a good morning. Which I doubt. What do you mean? Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that it is a morning to be good on?
:-)

There's snow on the ground...The long of Sauron has grown long indeed, if he can hurl snow all the way across the Internet. . . (Trying to get a double zero here. . .)
