The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

The Hole has been practically deserted for weeks.

It's Corin's fault.

You will appreciate this.

We have been trying to get Elf-boy set up with a computer so he can play his computer games (Reader Rabbit, Legos, etc). We reformatted the thing from Linux to nothing, then from nothing to NT4, and then from NT4 to Windows98. It was complicated, but it finally works, except for the monitor issue and the sound. So what did he want to name his "new" computer? DWARFBOY

LOL! He cracks me up!

Made an appt for Elf-boy today for tomorrow for him to see the doc about his wrist. He has a cyst (I hope) or something growing on the bone. He says it does not hurt. He does not remember falling or injuring it at all. Thing is, though, it is getting more pronounced. Taking him in to get it x-rayed ~just in case~

That is what my daughter said. I think we need to believe anyone who would make that kind of stand in that place. He is just so young, but like Hair says, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. LOL, his ethics are miles ahead of most of that HW bunch.

Yeah, he's been in Hollywood a while now, so if he's managed to survive this long without getting sucked into something bad that's a good sign. BTW are his parents Hollywood people?--he's not related to Natalie Wood, is he?

thank you. you know, elf-boy says it doesn't hurt at all, and does not remember falling on his wrist or anything. It feels and looks like a solid mass on his bone, just above where the wrist bends. I have seen things like that before with a friend that were ganglion cysts. Hoping that is what this is, and not something *else*.

Seriesly, it looks like he has an extra bone in his wrist. When I first noticed it, I thought he had a broken bone, cuz it's sorta popped out just under the skin.

and of course, it is on his right hand, and he is right handed.

isn't that the way it goes?

Huh!--never heard of that before. My Mom used to get a lot of cysts, so I know what those are like. Hope it's nothing serious and that it will clear up in time.
