The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I'm not going anywhere.

There are two stair problems...
And yes.... talked to him about both.
As for the bump, I told him I would walk on it in the morning and he asked me to tell him if he was exaggerating the problem or not! I can see the bump on pic 245. But I will have to walk it. As long as no other rocks have been placed on top of it yet, tt does seem silly to ~have~ to use that rock when I am looking at a lot of other flatter rocks that could be there.

If something freakish actually happened I'd expect you to at least notify us! Isn't that why we all exchanged phone numbers? For dire emergencies?
I found what you need today. Am having to do some work for the cosmotology department at the school. They need new marble top tables. This place I went to check on the marble will get you an entire marble floor for your bathroom - guaranteed not to leak.

Are you talking about the bump, maybe a three-sided pyramid sorta shape, immediately below the feet of the guy kneeling in the middle?
To: HairOfTheDog; Ramius
As for the bump... Bump? What Bump?
To: Wneighbor
I would be happy to allow them to install it for display purposes...
Actually though, I would think marble is not what we need in that bathroom. It's the one Nana shares with the boys. Need a non-skid surface.

Just relaxing and watching The Man Who Would be King. It isn't Aragorn or anything, but it is Sean Connery. And it is a Kipling. Always a good time.
How are you doine? Anything new happening? Tom and Jill enjoying home?

does seem silly to ~have~ to use that rock when I am looking at a lot of other flatter rocks that could be there. But what matters first to them is the footing of the rocks, not the top.

Wow, fish. I've seen a video somewhere of guys doing that. i don't remember where it was I saw it, but it was weird.

Yeah - that's the bump.... and what he hasn't mentioned is the big irregular crack that I can see. It just happens from here to look like the most irregular rock in the bunch, and it is the bottom stair. And he said that bump is right where you want to step and it's an ankle twister. Grey on grey not sure it will be visible coming down or not.... I will look tomorrow. He wants me to come up before they get there.
I guess, for me, not knowing anything about it.. right now, before there are other rocks on top of it... seems it could be swapped out with a better choice?
To: g'nad
Hope everyone is feeling better soon. You know it is catching, and I don't mean contagious. More like a yawn.

I think we'd need to come up with more than one kidney for that floor too.... uh, several.

Heck! I'd rather watch Sean Connery than Viggo!
I am getting ready to say goodnight. Gotta get up early in the morning. And I'm not used to that anymore. Not hearing from Tom and Jill. Her birthday is in a week and a half. *sigh*
