What's that?--sounds useful. I used to shop at Half Price Books which was a blessing, but we don't have one around here. If there's something like that online it'd be great.

We do have a bookstore around here that lets you trade paperbacks. Most of the stuff that comes in isn't stuff I need, but occasionally a gem turns up. Found some old Sax Rohmer mysteries I hadn't been able to find anywhere else.

Salvation Army, eh? Hmmm--I should try that :)

Hats are good! I think all the ladies here are in agreement on that!

I'm gonna go read for awhile...then try and sleep! Last night I was paranoid about being late for some reason...kept dreaming and waking up over and over.

Half.com is a subsidiary of eBay...people sell their old stuff for very little. Shipping adds to that, of course, but I've gotten lots of good CDs and a few books for five dollars or less with the shipping. More practical for music than for books unless they're nicer books, but still useful!

They're a good source for "like new" hardbacks and textbooks, in other words.

LOL! A lot of them apply here, too, but I did notice that it seemed to be a Michigan-specific Yooper list, and I'm trying to find a Wisconsin Yooper list to compare and contrast--Wisconsin Yoopers have their own specific quirks :) BTW someone posted a great list of Wisconsin weather jokes on FR a while back but I can't seem to remember the title and I've been trying to find it--anyone remember it?

Well, it's the patience that's hard. I definitely know that you are waiting for the right reasons. And when you meet someone you won't regret the patience.

You're right, don't move till you have a peace about it. And a job you like is really worthwhile. You will know if the right time to move comes along. Until then, you have lots in your life that you enjoy. Continue to enjoy it... and the rest will come.

This reinforces my opinion that northern Wisconsin should not be considered a Yankee state--you go far enough north it becomes closer to Texas, except for the weather :) I'd be interested to hear if those who have experienced both the Yooper and Texan experience would agree with that.

You need to discuss it with Rose and Bear then. Bear is a Yooper.

:-D I'm glad you had something awesome! And you can ignor the $16 if it really was that good!

So, anything at all good on your agenda this week? Or are ya just going to be working, drinkin', freepin' and sleepin'?

Oh, that sounds like home doesn't it? :-)

Now that you're finished with that burger let me help you out. Got a drink? Oh, yes, of course you do. Now, kick back and relax. *scratch scratch scratch* MMMMmmm... does that feel okay?

Yeah, I should ping them if I want to make sure they see that, shouldn't I?--still getting used to how this works. Ping to Rose in RoseBear and Bear_in_RoseBear on Post 7,071.
